Resident Services Honored

The Wellness Centers at Griffin Gardens and Highland Gardens Apartments were recognized with a 2009 Best Practice Award. BCHA's partnership with Mederi Caretenders and Quality of Life won the prestigious state association award from the Florida Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, a non-profit association representing officials and agencies that provide affordable housing.
The Best Practice award is presented for an innovative program that improves the quality of life for residents. BCHA Wellness Centers offer on-site staff to answer health related questions, conduct screenings to identify healthcare needs, and schedule on-site medical providers. In addition, health and wellness lectures provide education on medications and cover topics such as nutrition and diet, insurance options and other health topics.
Residents of Griffin Gardens and Highland Gardens are encouraged to sign up and take advantage of the Wellness Center's services.
